Alice and Xenia were hanging out by the park fountain. Kevin and Marcus were sitting at their feet while Jazz and Michael were busy making out.
“Get a room.” Marcus would yell.
In return he would get a slap from either Jazz or Xenia.
Alice and Xenia were talking about the movie they saw last night.
“It sucked! I mean like seriously, it’s not like the killer is going to say ‘Hey yeah I’m in the closet. Want your clothes for tonight but I think my knife that I plan to stab you with cut some shirts!’” Xenia yelled.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. It scared me. I love horror movies they’re so cool!” Jazz said when Michael had to go pee.
“Xenia was just mad cause I didn’t show up.” Marcus said.
“Oh shut up I didn’t even invite you retard.” Xenia yelled.
“Yeah but I know you got something for me.”
“You mean you got something for HER Marcus.” Jazz said.
“I think’s its more clear that Kevin and Alice have something for each other.” Xenia replied with a grin.
Alice then slapped Xenia in the arm and whispered, “Shut up!”
She looked down at Kevin who just smiled. He looked up and was making eye contact with Alice’s blue eyes. She stared into his brown eyes with a smile. The eyem contact showed Alice's feelings for Kevin and Kevin's feeling for her. Michael then came back interrupting and made Alice shaked her head.
“Hey! I went into the pizza place across the street and the news said something’s going on around town.”
The group of teenagers then ran to the pizza place to see what was up. But before they went across the street Alice thought she heard someone make a growling sound.
“What’s going on?” Alice asked a stranger staring blankly at the screen. He didn’t reply and just stared at the screen with the same blank look as if he were brain washed.
“Scientist have released that a chemical being used in a new experiment had exploded in an underground lab located beneath New York City.” The news reporter said. “Scientist have said that everyone in the lab had no chance of coming out. The explosion was not able to be heard but scientists have advised for citizens to stay inside the closest building. Police officials have been told to block off all exits and entrances to the entire state of New York until scientists say it’s safe. No one has released what the chemical was for or what the explosion has caused.”
As everyone was busy shocked by the news on the TV the store manager ran to the door and locked the double doors. He then closed all the blinds as if he had done this before.
“What are you doing? I need to go home!” A man yelled.
“You heard the news! We have to stay inside!” The store manager yelled back.
“I don’t care I have my wife and kid at home!”
“So do most people in this store! We need to stay put and wait until they say it’s safe to be out!”
“How do we even know if the lab is near us! I’m going out now so move or else!”
When the store manager refused to move the man gave him an uppercut to the chin. He then threw him into a table knocking it over.A man and woman ran to the knocked out store manager trying to help him as the man in the suit ran out the door.
“That crazy man!” Yelled a woman behind Kevin Alice looked around. In the pizza restaurant there was herself, Xenia, Kevin, Marcus, Michael, Jazz, the store manager, a woman in a jogger outfit help the manager, a man in a black suit also helping the man, a woman in a dress who yelled at the man, and two cashiers, one a younger male and the other a elder woman maybe in her seventy’s.
When the store manager was finally able to stand on his feet everyone was sitting. Alice had learned the elder woman was Rosa White and had been planning on retiring. Xenia and Jazz had learned the woman in a purple dress was Natasha Lopez and was here on her lunch break.
Michael looked at the clock and saw it has one o’ clock. The man in the suit had run out almost half an hour ago.
They all sat down watching the television. The news had nothing new and they all decided to keep it on the same channel in case something was to happen.
It was now two o’ clock and nothing new. Michael and Marcus had fallen asleep and Jazz was stuck between the two.
“Can someone wake them-“
Then a loud BOOM sounded knocked all the pictures off the walls. The sound knocked Alice, Kevin, and Rosa to the floor with a thud while Natasha hit the wall. No glass was shattered which surprised Rosa by because the impact of the sound was able to knock three people down and make one hit a wall.
“What was that!” Michael yelled waking up.
Rosa ran over to Natasha to make sure she was alright.
Alice and Marcus ran to the windows looking out.
Outside they could see fire behind a building.
“I think the apartments down the street blew up!” Marcus yelled.
Soon everyone was looking outside besides Natasha and Rosa.
Fire was rising behind the building but no one was running outside.
Then that’s when Alice saw it.
